CoolPoly® Thermally Conductive Plastics

For Enclosures

CoolPoly Benefits

CoolPoly thermally conductive injection molding grade thermoplastics are ideal for manufacturing 3-dimensional, net-shape enclosures that help manage heat. Conventional plastic enclosures trap heat and raise internal temperatures, whereas thermally conductive plastic enclosures are designed to maximize heat removal and lower internal temperatures. Features and aesthetic characteristics, that cannot be cost effectively offered in metal stampings or castings, are easily incorporated in thermally conductive plastic designs.

CoolPoly thermally conductive plastic enclosures have been commercially proven to reduce cost by as much as 50% compared to die cast aluminum housings while providing equivalent heat transfer.

Enclosures molded from thermally conductive plastics can provide:

  • LOW THERMAL RESISTANCE

  • LOW COST

  • 3-DIMENSIONAL COMPLEXITY

  • LOW WEIGHT

  • DESIGN FLEXIBILITY

  • EMI/RFI SHIELDING

  • FEATURE INTEGRATION

  • PART CONSOLIDATION

What's New

Thermally Conductive Plastics For Shielded Enclosures

CoolPoly thermally conductive and shielding plastics provide both the required heat transfer and shielding characteristics in an injection moldable plastic. In many applications, the CoolPoly plastic transfers heat similar to aluminum and provides EMI/RFI attenuation of greater than 60dB over a broad frequency range. >>More

Thermally Conductive Plastics For Folded Fink Heat Sinks

CoolPoly thermally conductive injection molding grade thermoplastics allow folded fin heat sinks designs with unique architectures and performance. >>More
